BAYLOR VOLLEYBALL TRAVELS TO FACE KANSAS
The Baylor volleyball team hits the road for its final away match of the season as the Bears face Kansas on Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at the Horejsi Family Center. The Bears are coming off a 3-2 come-from-behind win at home against Missouri on Saturday night. The Bears won their second-straight five-set match after twice rallying from one-set deficits to defeat Texas Tech on Wednesday night. Against Missouri, Baylor dropped the first two sets before sweeping the final three sets to claim the win. The Bears rallied from a 2-0 deficit for the first time since 2006 when Baylor rallied from down 2-0 to defeat Missouri at home. Baylor's nine conference wins ties for the second-most league wins in program history. Katie Sanders leads Baylor with 363 kills this season, while five other Bears have topped 100 kills on the season. Taylor Barnes has collected 1,088 assists and a league-high 47 service aces this season. Anna Breyfogle leads the conference with 1.44 blocks per set, but missed six straight matches with a dislocated shoulder. Freshman Allison King has recorded 417 digs this season and has tallied 10 or more digs in 23 of the last 24 matches. Kansas enters the match having lost its last three matches. Last week, the Jayhawks dropped 3-0 decisions to Nebraska and at Texas. Karina Garlington leads the way for Kansas with 377 kills and 29 service aces, while Nicole Tate has tallied 1,009 assists on the season. Melissa Manda has tallied 336 digs on the season, while Natalie Uhart anchors the net defense with 0.83 blocks per set. LAST TIME AGAINST KANSAS
The Baylor volleyball team placed four players in double-digit kills and the Bears hit a season-high .427 to sweep Kansas 3-0 (25-17, 25-18, 27-25) at the Ferrell Center. The Bears connected on 59 kills with only 12 hitting errors on 110 total attempts. The .427 hitting percentage ranks as the eighth-best mark in Baylor history, and the best since Baylor hit .441 in a three-game sweep of Tennessee State during the 2006 season. The hitting percentage is the highest ever against a Big 12 Conference opponent. B
