This was the first funny show of SNL they've had in A LONG TIME. Like 5 or 6 years, long.

But yeah, this skit made me laugh so hard. I probably would have laughed just at the outfits/and making fun of cheesey 90's love music. I used to sing a bunch of it in a group in High School and we'd always make fun of these guys. Especially the token fool with the low voice who'd do the little asides in the middle of the song: "baby... you know I didn't mean to hurt you, but baby... you were interrupting my game of Mario, baby... baby, I can't control the mario, baby...baby...baby... ooooooooH!"

um... sorta?

Hahaha, I never thought of it that way. We could all sing, and we enjoyed doing parities of BoyzIIMen and ColourMeBadd and Shai... so yeah, I guess so? We weren't bad, but we weren't very serious. Just having fun.

We did make some money, though. On Valentine's day we all skipped class and got paid $20 a pop by husbands, boyfriends, etc. to sing to wives and girlfriends. That was fun.

Oh, and we sang to my girlfriend at half-time of her basketball game once. Sigh... my voice cracked at the high note.

we broke up a month later.
