So, do you prepare a cooked eggnog or raw?
Regardless, what's your favorite recipe?

Cooked?? Open Southern Comfort Egg Nog carton, pour into glass, add a dash of nutmeg on top, and enjoy. Alcohol is optional.
That said, I've never had homemade eggnog. Am I missing something?

I have elves for that sh!t.
Seriously, wouldn't cooking take the alcohol content out? My vote's against cooked nog. And for more bourbon!

You cook the egg mixture and THEN add the alcohol. That being said, I just made some that is not cooked. Yummy!!!
Will post recipe later...

I still love the taste of raw eggs and booze in the morning...afternoon...whenever the hell it is. Still, isn't eggnog by definition raw eggs or are they going all PC on me?

Thank me later...
It is a detailed process, but worth it.

Not cooked. Use pasturized shell eggs or brave the risk.
Cooked makes a custard base, which is great for ice cream, but too thick for real nog.

I prefer my salmonella straight!! Gulp down two raw eggs right before my 4:30 a.m. jog just like Rocky Balboa!
