Allow yourself a few moments of materialism and tell us the good, bad, and the ugly.

My daughter gave me a burnt orange polo shirt. Obviously there's some facts of life I neglected to go over with her.

I got some presents today, but I got phone calls last night to let me know that I still have some presents that will be arriving within the next week. Just extends the celebration. :bounce:

So far...

Sideline passes from Broncos o-coordinator for the amazing Broncos/Bengals game. I thought I was going to freeze to death
2 broncos polos
1 leather broncos jacket
3 Broncos t-shirts
4GB iPod Nano
6mp Casio Exilim dig cam
Boxers yee-haw

A solid haul overhaul. I pretty much just wanted Broncos stuff, so anything beyond that was just gravy

I just did a Google search of your rifle and that is an impressive piece!! Good job! Man, I would sure like one of those. My 30 year old Remington Model 700 BDL in 30-06 has been a great rifle for me. It has really served me well and has taken quite a beating and keeps on shooting straight year after year.

Suprisingly, people, for the most part, followed my suggestion this year and either got me something I needed or nothing at all.

There's no way anyone was going to tease me into believing that this was going to be a normal Christmas with material things.

Got a couple of gift cards, a tie rack, some cash, and a ton of prayers.

And I am happy with that.

coolest gift:

I got a bible translation, written by a sarcoma survivor (which I am a member of, currently :) ) that is in slang for young people.

Some of my favorite verses were written in a whole new language that made me appreciate them even more.

Good stuff! Called The word on the streets

Was that called The Way?

I always used to get that one when I got to bible study in youth group days because it had pictures of dudes with Afros and depicted a couple of Jesus' disciples as homeless winos. Good stuff.

I dunno, I just thought it would be cool to have a movie about Jesus where Samuel L. Jackson played Jesus...

I also got College Hoops 2k7 for the 360. Baylor is rocking the house, in their second straight NCAA tournament. The 2k Sports basketball games are behind only Tony Hawk series and Madden for the best sports games....maybe tied with FIFA Soccer.

I swear, the 360 will rob me of my ambition.....unless my ambition is to sit on my butt and play video games for the rest of my life :spin2:

I got a new power steering pump, and two new tires. I just put the pump on today, and it works great -- navigating parking lots will be much easier (and quieter).

I haven't put the tires on yet, because I think I can get a few thousand more miles out of the two bad ones. They're sitting in my back seat. I love the smell of new tires!

Thank you, Mr. Claus.
