That is great observation and presents a good case for how misleading statistics can often be.
I think Kim and Sherri are solid coaches and their records prove it. But it is my opinion that Blair might well be the best coach in the conference. No one seems to get as much out of kids as Blair does. His talent level (according to the recruiting ranking sources) has not been on the level with BU, OU or UT, and he has still found ways to compete and win a lot. Now that his talent level is starting rise, A&M is going to very scary. By the way, the Ags had over 7K on Wednesday night, so crowd interest might be rising there as well.

yea its not like we have a top 10 baseball team, a mens team going to the NCAA tourney, or two top 5 track squads.y'all consistently say it's all about football.

No, that can't be. In 2005, everything I read on TexAgs claimed that no one cared about "chickball."

I have never seen a coach work as hard to get folks to come to games as Blair has. And before the games, he is out in the crowds talking to friends, meeting new people, welcoming fans from the opposing school and handing out candy kids. He is trying to really make it a place where families go. I was very impressed.

I wouldn't say the jinx is on. He didn't say "will win" or "should win". The drum thumper, Stats, is playing it cool with this game and I appreciate that. We have a chance to make it close, win or lose. I hope Danielle will be sitting on the bench and cheering us on today.
Blair got out coached tonight. No Wilson and Baylor still wins. Poor aggy, 0-2 vs KM this year.

Serious gut check tonight by the Lady Bears. The Aggies were running their offensive sets very well during the second half, and I thought they were going to pull it out for the win. Morrow just kills them with those two threes and making free throws at the end. Good thing too because she had more than just a few turnovers. RA - 17 rebounds... When she plays like that, it makes me think the Bears could make the Sweet 16. I think AF will be practicing free throws quite a bit during her career here. She isn't the most athletic post player you'll ever see, but she has a good feel for the game and isn't going to be moved off the block very easily. A real shame about Wilson, as this team could go very far in the tourney with her.

I have to agree with Smokey that Blair seems to offer the best Aggie could hope for in a WBB coach to build a program. He was, I thought, particularly gracious in his post game remarks. His team was in a position to pull this one out were it not for Medlock's key block on Starks and Morrow's smooth shooting from the field and the line down the stretch. Aggie came all the way back from a 12 point deficit in a hostile arena against a team making few mistakes. This kind of victory demands the kind of effort it will take to go past the sweet 16.

Gary Blair is a great coach and a classy guy all around. I love having Mulkey as our coach, but if we couldn't have her, Blair would be my next pick.

Agree. Blair would be a good fit in Waco or pretty much anywhere else.

Geno is a great coach and his autobiography is a fantastic read, but wow, can you see him dealing with the Baylor administration? I would give him 3 months before he says, "hey Ian, sc#ew you".
