Ags are a little vulnerable right now. I heard that their best pitcher got hit in the head during practice and was in the hospital a couple of days ago.

She was the Big 12 player of the year 26-1 on the mound and hit .406 with 11 bombs. She is pretty awesome, she is being held out of the tournament for precautionary reasons, mainly because we have pretty much already locked up a host and a #1 seed for the regional.

That is a nice break for us as the #4 seed. UT (#3) has to face the 1 or 2 seed. I guess beating the #1 seed and OU getting upset really helped us.

The bracket on the big 12 site shows it as a single championship game. SInce it's scheduled to be televised, i don't think they'd show allow the "real" championship game to happen after the sign off the air. I believe it's one and out once you make the finals.

1 game wins it all. Just like men's baseball. Unlike the CWS in Omaha, though, which moved to best of 3 the year before last.

The key thing happening here is that Meagan Denny is pitching for Texas, meaning Cat Osterman will pitch the next Longhorn game. If OU wins, Osterman will be used at 1pm tomorrow against OU and most likely won't be also used against Baylor later that day (assuming Baylor is the opponent of course).

Both OU and Texas are great teams, but we definitely want OU to win cause of what Cory referred to. Don't bet for sure that UT wouldn't pitch Cat two games in a row, cause they've done it plenty before. In fact, I would bet pretty strongly that they would throw her against us. But making both of them play another game while we rest is a good thing no matter who pitches.
