It looks like the Aggies moved Wooten to #3 in their singles lineup - he's the one that lost to Kokta when we played them in the Big 12 regular season at #4. Florida has wrapped up 2 points already and is closing in on two other singles matches against South Carolina - we play on those courts when they finish.

After Baylor's 7-3 loss to Missouri in baseball today, I'm ready for our #1 ranked men's tennis team to whip Texas A&M on their home courts for their 55th consecutive team win. BAYLOR MEN'S TENNIS: 4 WINS FROM A REPEAT NCAA TENNIS TITLE!

I think A&M's only chance was to win the double's point, which we have lost several times this year. It will be verytough for them to win 4 of 6 singles matches against our lineup.

Baylor leads Texas A&M, 1-0 in match play. There are over 3,000 fans watching this 'Battle of the Brazos' in Aggieland, and the hundreds of Baylor fans are making the most noise! Singles will begin in about 15 minutes. I predict Dorsch, Becker, and Poersche will win their singles matches for Baylor. SIC 'EM BEARS!

I bet Dorsch makes mince meat out of him. I'll try to call it now - straight sets, Dorsch 6-3, 6-3.

Wasn't the loss to Makowski one of Dorsch's only losses this year?

There are three doubles matches. First to 8 games. Who ever wins 2 of 3 gets the doubles point. Each singles match (2 out of 3 sets) is worth a point. There are 6 of those. There are 7 possible points. First one to 4 wins the match. So as things stand now. Baylor has won the doubles point so they are up 1-0. They need to win 3 of the 6 singles matches to advance. Hope this helps

How's scoring work in the tournament?

I'm not a regular tennis fan, but am just following along and interested in how the scoring works. They play three doubles matches. First team to 8 games wins the match. There is one point awarded to the team that wins 2/3 doubles matches.

Then they play six singles matches. Games are played to 6, and the match is won by winning two games. One point is awarded for each match win.

So, there are a total of 7 points(1 for doubles and 6 for singles). First team to 4 points wins.

Shearer just went up a set at #6 singles for Baylor, but Texas A&M has fought back at #1, #2, and #4 singles. It seems as though the Aggie crowd is helping Texas A&M push Baylor in singles now. However, the Bears should be able to elevate their play enough to win tonight. SIC 'EM BEARS! :bounce:

Wow! That is strange coming from a Nazi cult military school. Wonder why they hadn't thought of recruiting their own Germans? Too dumb I guess, or the German's are too smart to go to a make believe nazi military school.
