UCLA will win 4-0 or 4-1 and BU will win 4-0 to 4-2 over Florida, setting up a rematch of last year's national championship.

How did Mississippi get the 3 seed with only 1 Top 109 player? UCLA has 5.

Since they have the same record, maybe it's WHEN they picked up their losses? I'm not sure, but I'm thinking that perhaps Ole Miss dropped two of their three during the National Indoors and maybe UCLA lost in-conference...I'll look up their schedules when I get a second.

if UCLA can put the hammer down at #2 and #6 it can take away whatever mo that Gards victory will give miss

Is anyone else noticing that they are updating the results faster today? I love it -- it makes viewing the live webcast A LOT easier.

UCLA looks really tough in this match, and I have a feeling, if we can get past Florida, it would be a great match-up with the Bruins.

I think Chris Lam (#4 for UCLA) is who Matias beat to wrap up the title last year...he got smoked today and was beaten yesterday as well...let's hope that if we see them tomorrow, Kokta will do more of the same to him!

Yep, just looked, Matias Marin defeated Chris Lam at the #3 spot, 6-3, 6-2 in last year's final. Becker beat Pampoulov who is now playing #1 and would match up with Dorsch...in fact, 5 of their 6 singles players are the same with the only difference being the loss of Tobias Clemens (#1 for them last season) and replacing him with Kohlloeffel (playing #2 after Pampoulov moved up a spot)...okay, enough looking ahead - they're not even there yet, let alone us.

Hamid Mirzadeh (#1 for UF) is legit, but I know Dorsch can take him...can't wait to get this match started!

This match ended up closer than it was headed.

2-2 with UCLA up a set and 5-3 on 2 and up a set and 5-1 on 6.

Please reduce my ignorance.

The first set on court six shows Miss 6(5) UCLA 7. Some kind of tie breaker, I'm thinkin'. What's that there "(5)" for?

Yes, when a set is tied 6-6, it goes to a tiebreaker where you play to 7 points. The (5) means that the tiebreaker finished with the UCLA player winning, 7 to 5.

Green - you're correct, it means that in the tiebreaker (first to 7 or win by two) that the score was 7-5.

Question -- Are they not starting the third set on Court 3 pending the outcome on Court 2? If so, is that a rule?

I wish they would update court 3 it hasn't changes in some time now

No problem. Now the Bears have to take care of business. I feel the same right now about this Baylor team as I did before the Lady Bears National Championship game (very good feeling about it).
