Wish I was down there watching this stuff in person. Keeping up with all these outstanding Baylor sports achievements via internet is getting to be the pits.

But I am still glad they are winning. All our teams and players.

Bene takes first set 6-2. Go Bene Make us proud, and bring it on home;

another National Championship for Baylor University!

The outdoor singles Championship takes presedence over the indoor. In fact the indoor is not actually officially recognized.

The outdoor is the official Championship and much more highly regarded.

1986, 1991, and 2000 were the only other times if I read correctly. Stanford.

Now 2005

Again we are the first Big XII school--time to get rid of Aggie

I wonder if people realize what an incredible accomplishment this is for these two players and for our school.

This is like winning the Heisman Trophy in two sports at the same time in the same year. Only instead of it being voted on, these players won it on the court, the "field of play" if you will.

And to win The singles Championship for both Men's and Women's out of 119 Division 1 schools with all of the programs and all of the players, with so many of unbelievable high quality and caliber.

This truly is an amazing accomplishment. These two are to be congratulated and celebrated every bit as much as the Women's basketball team. :bounce: :bounce:

Congratulations to Benedikt Dorsch on winning the 2005 NCAA Division-I singles title. He finishes his senior year 34-2 overall in singles, and close to 110 career singles wins at Baylor, 2nd only to Benjamin Becker's Baylor record. BAYLOR TENNIS: HOME OF THE 2005 NCAA MEN'S & WOMEN'S SINGLES CHAMPIONS! :D

Not Division 1-A.

that's what I meant. I'm not including the Ut-Arlingtons or the Cal State Pomona's of the world.

But even so, that just makes the achievement that much more incredible.

Good point. Also in hindsight the Baylor game was in 2004.
