    UT Commit 2013 PG Candace Adams Reopens Recruitment

    No. 48 junior, Candace Adams, reopens her recruitment

    Candace Adams of Cedar Hill, Texas, has reopened her recruitment, according to her father, Cavian Adams. The No. 48 prospect in the ESPN HoopGurlz Super 60 previously committed to the University of Texas under head coach Gail Goestenkors. Mr. Adams cited the coaching change as the reason for the decommitment as Texas hired Karen Aston to replace Goestenkors, who resigned, earlier this month.

    Adams, a 5-foot-7 guard, will still consider Texas, according to her father.

    This could get interesting if her team mate and bff 2013 class #4 P Jada Terry also decommits..

    Here's an excerpt from the Hoopgurlz article announcing their commitments..

    But the news for the Longhorns did not stop as two 2013 prospects from Cedar Hill High School both decided to commit. Jada Terry and Candice Adams have been playing basketball together since the second grade and that link will continue for the next seven years as the two complete high school and college together.

    Both Adams and Terry play club basketball for DFW Elite and both had the same final two schools, Baylor and Texas. Adams also considered Texas A&M; Terry grew up an LSU fan.

    Russell, Adams and Terry would make up quite a class! Anyone know if Tyler Scaife is still on Baylor's radar? I am hoping that 2013 is going to turn out to be a great class.

    If Baylor were to get Russell and Terry, we would look quite good with Sims at the point, Russell at center, Terry as a forward and Prince as another forward. I could see a two guard, two forward, center lineup for 2013-14. That would be a team with very good size.
