Must suck to be a cowboys fan/rg3 httr

So WS6 (and Dia). The point of my post and the pointing out of your dropout status is just to show your inability to understand why some here cheer the way they do now. And that your ridicule of anyone who has a Baylor degree that cheers for Robert and the Redskins is pure ignorance and further more why people who don't cheer for the cowboys hate them even more.

To say my post defines my definition of family is silly. It is one example of what one person has done for me and what their impact on the Baylor family has meant to me. Their is a reason Robert received a full ride and I didn't. He had more value for our school. He was an investment for the university and a damn good one. Not once did I say Robert is the only good thing about Baylor and the only thing that I value

I was using it as an argument point to show the level of ignorance WS6 has towards Baylor grads and their loyalty to Robert.

Correct me if I'm wrong DougO, but I thought bandwagon was jumping on in the good times when everyone else is? Then how is wishing success for an individual that literally epitomizes Baylor wherever he goes being a bandwagon fan?

And I don't need good luck with anything. It's already happened. Baylor academics on the up and up, Baylor sports building traditions and making history, new Baylor facilities every year, and our best ambassadors succeeding and contributing to all of this.

You're obviously distressed, so I'm done trying to convince you why RG3 doing well is in Baylor's best interest...

I'm not sure why you chose to lie about my position. I'm not trying to tell anyone what team they're allowed to root for. That's what I'm being told. It's quite ironic, really, people talking about loyalty and family while trying to convince me that I need to switch loyalties.

I'm not the least bit distressed, either. At least not about anything sports related. Everything is groovy. There's always next year.

Easy there DougO, that was not my intention. I must have just got into the spirit while typing

No anti-DougO agenda here. Sorry, pal!

Baylor first, but Cowboys are my pro team. Wanted Cowboys to win but for Griffin to be great. Next best thing is for Griff to win it, and now I'm rooting for him to win it all.
I could not have said this better myself. My exact thoughts.
As a quarterback, if you've got world class speed, like Griffin,
you keep your eyes down the field.
You just put those defenders in such a tough spot.
Do they come up and defend the run?
Or do they stay with their man in pass coverage?
He will beat you regardless of the decision you make.

Do you think they will choke against Cincy or wait until they get on the road?

As a Native Houstonian who has lived in the city 35 of 40 years (not including the four in Waco) I am preparing myself for the crapfest that will probably happen on Kirby Drive next week.

The collapse over the last month brings back many memories of Oilers days of the past. Truly remarkable to blow home field like we did. But as a Houston fan I will just say that it is ubelievably believable...

I've been a Cowboy fan forever. I actually saw the first game they ever played. Once Tom left it just wasn't the same but I watch them the few times they are on TV here. Switzer made it easier for me to forget the 'Boys and Jerry Jones made it a breeze. I still love 'em but I was amazed how easily it has been to cheer for the Redskins this year. Actually stunned. But it is possible and you won't die.

I pull for Singletary sports, but even Mike didn't do for Baylor what RG3 has. It's not even comparable.
Now, had social media and the internet been around in the early 80's, it may be another story, but it is what it is... And RG3 is by FAR AND AWAY the face of Baylor to the nation.

That's the way it is in the geoman household. Sad the Cowboys are out of it and now rooting for Griffin to hoist the SB trophy in February.

I agree, wasn't trying to suggest otherwise.... just pointing out there are other bears to support in the playoffs as well. It's good to be a bear!

I wonder if Singletary and RG3 have met... Perhaps they did when the Redskins and Vikings played earlier in the year. I've never seen a pic of them together.

That's too bad.

I never bonded with my father and my real life blood family and my best friends watching the Redskins with them. We were watching the Cowboys and Baylor Bears, building a lot of memories, learning about life, when those teams stunk to high heaven, and when they were pretty good. The roots run deep.

I'm really sad for your definition of family. I wonder what it will be next year, or next week, whichever sock or t-shirt you're wearing at that time. I'll be a loyal Baylor and Cowboys supporter and loyal to my real family that has been with me all of my life.
