We all miss them. But maybe that's why the sign isn't there any more. We're just being honest?

Gobears20 that's one of the photos that Teaff used to send to every player's parent and high school.

Kyle did wear #23, but I think he played much later than those pictures.

Kyle played before those guys. I played with those two guys, I believe those pics were taken in their frosh year 1981, they came in the for the '81 season, Kyle came in '78.

Coach Teaff used to have these photos made your freshman year and he would send one to your parents and to your high school.

Anyone think Teaff could be mistaken for Leach in those pictures?

Thanks robby. I left in 76 and lost track. Somehow I thought Kyle had his accident in the mid to early 80's, after I came to California. Sorry.

That's correct. I knew his name was Alan, I forgot his last name. Alan and Horace went to the same school in Austin, LBJ I think.

Kyle's injury was before the 1979 season. He came to Atlanta to the Peach Bowl and was a big inspiration for the win over the Clemson Tigers. All the Baylor players in the Peach Bowl wore arm bands with 23 on them. The announcers talked about Kyle a good bit.

    I remember now. Thanks.

I watched that game on TV while attending seminary. It was a tough time for me. But I lived through it.

Kyle was and is a tremendous inspiration.
