Well of course he does. He has millions of reasons to say that.

That does not mean it's not true or that he doesn't at least believe it's true, but just the same.

Also his definition of a bright future may be different from what some people want. If his definition of success is being a great basketball conference and an also ran in football or just a success as a generator of random statistics against which people can bet, then I am not on board.

I'm sure what he really means is that he believes he can align conference outcomes it such a way that he will maximize his bonus potential.
