Not one of your better posts my friend .

You might want to look up this young man's bio.
This "young man" was a danger to the public. He obviously had zero compassion for the more than 1,400 Israelis (mostly women and children) that were murdered on October 7th. We are just fortunate that he didn't take anyone with him.

Don't be stubborn.

Read his bio.

The guy was no terrorist.

No but he was an interesting combination of radical socialist and anarchist. Still my heart breaks for the guy.

The man simply became overwrought about what he perceived to be horrific injustice to the women and children in Gaza.

Serving in the Air Force at this juncture in his life probably added to the pressure.

Sad business all way round .
He was motivated by the George Floyd killing to become anti-military. Despite the fact that a white man (Tony Timpa) was killed in nearly the exact same way one year prior, and yet there was no reaction from him. His heart bleeds for the injustice to Palestinians, but not to the Israelites who were murdered by them. Clearly, his gates of justice swing in only one particular direction. Sombear would get a tidy sum from his bet, because all signs point to leftist loon.
We are all so perfect within the comfy confines of this message board.

The man sacrificed himself for what he believed in.

Though I do not agree with his message or his incredibly painful suicide…….

I respect that he intentionally spared others.

May God forgive and keep him.
The man was a modern bolshevik brainwashed by radical dogma.

My friend if the fella was a true Bolshevik he would have killed others along with himself.
So, a failed Bolshevik, then ...

The guy made the ultimate sacrifice in the most painful way possible .

One can argue against his narrative and certainly against his method of protest……….

But he clearly wasn't out to hurt anyone else.

Meanwhile the US continues to spend billions of dollars it doesn't actually possess perpetrating two separate wars .

Time for a cease fire in Ukraine and Gaza.

As too many innocent people have already been slaughtered in both regions.

"Sacrifice"? No.

Dude was mentally impaired, paid no attention to the facts but wanted to be important.

Killed himself and accomplished nothing to help even one person.

Sad that he is dead, but he is no hero, no exemplar, no martyr. Just made a really bad decision and impressed only the people likely to be as foolish themselves, if in different ways.
That which does not kill me, will try again and get nastier

We are all so perfect within the comfy confines of this message board.

The man sacrificed himself for what he believed in.

I wonder what those beliefs were. According to reports, Bushnell posted the following comments on social media:

  • "Israel is a white supremacist, ethnonationalist, settler-colonial apartheid state. … It has no right to exist."
  • Regarding Hamas' attack on Israelis at the Nova music festival, he said that none of the Israelis were "innocent" because the event was "happening just three miles from Gaza … Can you or I really say that indigenous people are wrong for retaliating against colonizers who are rubbing their domination in their face?"
  • He said that the phrases like "Jews are the only people that aren't allowed to defend themselves' are so sneakily white supremacist."
  • He died for what he said was genocide of Palestinians, but his idea of genocide changes when it applies to Israelis: "Even if it [HAMAS being a threat to all Israelis] were the truth, that wouldn't be genocidal, but actually perfectly reasonable..."

If these comments are indeed his, then I'm sure even you would've preferred he stayed within the "comfy confines" of his message boards. But at least we're lucky he directed his hatred inward instead of outward. Might've been a completely different story.

Probably a good idea.

If the above were indeed his comments (which as far as I know hasn't been verified) then it would be very curious and eyebrow raising for you to continue to praise him for "sacrificing himself for what he believed in". I think the following is a very apt conclusion of the matter that you should take to heart:

"We are left, then, with a straight choice. Either, we mourn the loss of a troubled young man, a human tragedy of the kind that is all-too-common at the present time, or we accept that Aaron Bushnell died trying to further a grisly political program that includes support for HAMAS, the massacre of Jewish civilians, and the destruction of Israel." - https://www.kyleorton.com/p/aaron-bushnell-troubled-man-or-political-martyr

Over 30,000 "civilians" have been killed in Gaza since October. That's equal to the number of Ukrainian soldiers killed since the Russian invasion.

Hamas was wrong to attack Israel and kill innocents.

Israel is wrong in how it's conducting this war. And it's getting worse as they are effectively starving out millions of innocent people.

I ain't for setting yourself on fire but caring about the Palestinians, too, ain't a crazy position.

Last sentence is truth. But the entire world no longer understands the first lesson from WW2: in a war, innocents get killed in large numbers. So, if you decide to wage war and attack a nation or group, for that matter, you should understand and accept the damage from the response. People are stupid to not a
grasp that, tragedy though it is. And in this case, Hamas' logistics created the environment that led to the deaths of so many innocent non-combatants.

Just sad to see an American man kill himself (in a really horrible way) over a ethnic blood feud between Jews and Arabs.

Two groups of scumbags over there that don't care if he lived or died.

Its just sad.

Americans in general have really got to mentally & emotionally unplug from these rest of the worlds racial-ethnic-religious conflicts.

Jews vs Arabs in the Levant....Hindus vs Muslims in Kashmir...Ukrainians vs Russians in Donbas....these are not our fights.

I hate that he ended is life over an ethnic war on the other side of the world between two groups of Semites but you have to respect any man willing to die for a cause...even our enemies deserve that respect.

"If we value so highly the dignity of life, how can we not also value the dignity of death? No death may be called futile in service to a cause."
Yukio Mishima on Hagakure : The Samurai Ethic and Modern Japan (1977)

Mishima committed suicide (Seppuku) on top of the Ichigaya Barracks in Tokyo for the cause of brining back the sole rule of the divine Emperor and remilitarizing Japan.

[On 25 November 1970, Mishima and four members of his militia entered a military base in central Tokyo, took its commandant hostage, and unsuccessfully tried to inspire the Japan Self-Defense Forces to rise up and overthrow Japan's 1947 Constitution (which he called "a constitution of defeat"). After his speech and screaming of "Long live the Emperor!", he committed seppuku.]

Obviously I don't believe in that...but you have to respect the man.

Might've been a completely different story.
this poor soul was so deceived on so many levels.

Israel is wrong in how it's conducting this war. And it's getting worse as they are effectively starving out millions of innocent people.

I ain't for setting yourself on fire but caring about the Palestinians, too, ain't a crazy position.

Good grief we actually agree on something.

Given your position does Biden still ' Earn your vote ' ?

Maybe we can go to the poll together. Hand in hand?

I'll play ebony and ivory on my iPhone.
Maybe we can chase some black people away from the polling places!!!! It is my second favorite hobby, right behind snipe hunting.

You might want to look up this young man's bio.
This "young man" was a danger to the public. He obviously had zero compassion for the more than 1,400 Israelis (mostly women and children) that were murdered on October 7th. We are just fortunate that he didn't take anyone with him.

We need to stay out of Israel's way. Let them do what needs to be done. HAMAS and their supporters need to be eliminated. More HAMAS cheerleaders setting themselves on fire would be an added bonus.

This is a horrible, horrible and inhumane take. What's happening is not the elimination of HAMAS. It's the elimination of tens of thousands of Palestinian citizens including women and children.
Violence (1,400 unprovoked deaths) has consequences. Time to pay the piper. 70 percent of Gazans voted for HAMAS to rule.

Israel told these people to leave days even weeks in advance or they might risk death. Yeah I know. They're too poor and helpless to leave waaaa......waaaaa....waaaaa...snifle.... Snifle!!!!!!! Bul***** If you want to live, you
G T F O!!!!!

We need to stay out of Israel's way and let them do what needs to be done.

Lindsey, that you, Senator?

Modern day Israel is a creation of the Rothschilds and absolutely ZERO ties to Biblical Israel. If it weren't for the Schofield Reference Bible and its nonsense dispensationalism teaching then Americans would have no basis for supporting Israel whatsoever.

The "elimination of tens of thousands of Palestinian women and children" is the objective of Hamas, not Israel. They want to ensure maximal civilian death of their own people to win world sympathy and foment anger at Israel by hiding behind women and children. Disgusting. They are far more an enemy to the Palestinians than Israel is.

Platitudes

Even Obama semi effectively controlled the southern border.

Trump certainly did.

Biden has effectively encouraged this human wave by publicly announcing free housing, food and medical care for all who show up.

His message has resonated throughout central and South America.

Biden is doing EXACTLY what was expected of him.

Absolutely none of this is accidental.

To believe those you care about won't be affected by these millions is beyond stupid .

The nut job that set himself on fire in New York yesterday has died. Ashes to ashes, dust to dust.

Fire violence has just gotten out of hand. It is time for Congress to act and ban fire.
