You are describing delusions. If someone perceives themselves in a way that is not based on reality then it is a mental issue.

Reality is not optional.

Gender identity is not sex.
It matches the vast majority of the time, but sometimes people experience delusional thinking where they believe they are actually not a man even though they have XY chromosomes and all of the associated male hormones and secondary sex characteristics.

Again, "gender identity" is not "sex," by definition.
However, a person can get his or her gender identity wrong insofar as gender identity involves the belief that one is a man or a woman and whether you are a man or a woman is, objectively and measurably, determined by sex. We can test whether a person's gender identity is correct by whether it matches his or her actual sex. There are physical characteristics, primarily chromosomal characteristics, that are required for someone to be classified as male or female. (There are rare instances where these characteristics are jumbled but these intersex individuals are not what we see with the transgender mass hysteria currently in vogue).

If gender identity and sex does not match the individual is suffering from something that is causing them to be deluded.
That one defines their gender identity differently that their biological sex is not delusional but a recognition of their sexual identity as they perceive themselves. That perception is none of y9ur business.

It's not delusional? So if someone said that "sometimes people experience delusional thinking where they believe they are actually not a man even though they have XY chromosomes and all of the associated male hormones and secondary sex characteristics," you would disagree with them?

No one wants it to be their business... except for the delusional trans person. They INSIST that you make it your business to "validate" their delusions.... and THAT is the problem with all of this.

If someone wants to believe that they are a cat or a female.... no one cares. When that person demands that you refer to them by their delusional self identity... that is the problem.

You can believe all the lies that you want, but you cannot force others to believe them too.

I am morally obligated to oppose injustice and having a man participate in women's sports as though he was a woman is an injustice to female athletes. You are probably right about an injustice to women but your observation has nothing to do with gender identity. Let the transfolk be and let the courts sort out the injustice.

Possibly you don't understands what he means here, I will mark it up to that. Otherwise your bigotry is showing again against DC for no reason whatsoever.

Of course we all want to let transfolks just be, just like the rest of us. Live and let live.

But, forced by law, or color of law as DC put it.

1) Girls have been forced to compete with men in basketball, volleyball. swimming, weight lifting, even mma in at least one instance. A basketball game had to be shut down cause the big bruising guy hurt several girls, in volleyball one girl had her face fractured by a rocket of a spike by a guy, and an mma fighter was seriously injured when a guy pummelled her into the ground. I'm sure this happens more than what we see on the media.

2) Women and even little girls have been exposed to male genitalia in locker rooms repeatedly because of these laws. This is sexual assualt. This part is a terrible presidence.

Everybody wants to let transfolks "just be" like every other person, but they don't like men who claim womanhood to hurt, beat, expose themselves to, dominate women and children, just because the law allows it. There is a very dark, very evil aspect to this harrassment towards real women. And people with your political compass are supporting it by your silence.

3) I forgot another aspect, the guys who are clearly guys, who run around with their cameras, podcasting, just setting people up to call them a man or guy, then having a tantrum they weren't called a woman. That is just stupid dispicable harrassment, by the guy, who assigns himself a female. When you have facial hair, broad shoulder, a deep voice and look like a man because you really are, don't expect others to go along with calling you a she. That is harrassment.

Again, live and let live goes two ways. If you don't do it for others, don't expect it for yourself.

"Stupidity is a more dangerous enemy of the good than malice. One may protest against evil; it can be exposed and, if need be, prevented … Against stupidity we are defenseless … reasons fall on deaf ears; facts that contradict one's prejudices simply need not be believed … when facts are irrefutable they are just pushed aside as inconsequential."

The stupid person is often stubborn … one virtually feels that one is dealing not at all with him as a person, but with slogans, catchwords, and the like … He is under a spell, blinded, misused, and abused in his very being … Having thus become a mindless tool, the stupid person will also be capable of any evil and at the same time incapable of seeing that it is evil." It is not my opinion that they incorrectly perceive their sex. If you have a male who says, "hey, everybody, I am a female!"then that person has a misperception of physical reality.

If it is "probably" right that having men compete against women is an injustice to female athletes, and if it the men's gender identity as women that make a them somehow force their way into women's sports (it is), it is not possible that my observation about men identifying as women and competing against women has "nothing to do with gender identity." Your statement is just ludicrous.

I have already told you that I don't hate trans people. Why are you calling me a liar? I see them as victims. My child is not a dumbass and knows that you can't become a girl if you are a boy or vice versa just by wishing it were so. My child also understands that mental illness is as real as physical illness and that you don't berate people for having either. You and your ilk would attempt to force my child to affirm lies.

a couple of takes from this, and please note, when i say "you", i mean it in the plural sense, not you personally, but you seem to talk a lot about the bible, but whenever there is a problematic point in the Old Testament (and there are several) you always say that you are a New Testament Christian, but you always pick and choose the bits from the Old Testament which suit your particular Agenda.

Ignoring that though, if you accept this particular quotation at face value and hold it as a honest belief, then surely you must be against any kind of Body Altering surgery? isnt that messing with Gods image? If God wanted you to have a Flat Chest or Wonky Teeth, or a Cleft Palate, or Astigmatism, shouldnt you then accept Gods image as it is and not cut off (or inject substances into) whatever parts of your body you want to?

I'm not a "New Testament Christian". I'm a Christian who believes that the ENTIRE Bible is God's word. My only agenda is to promote God's truth.

Here are some New Testament scriptures that make relevant points: First, Jesus is the Son of God & was present at creation:

"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
John 1:1

As for creation of men & women (& nothing else), Jesus Himself made that clear:

"Have you not read that he who created them from the beginning made them male and female." Matthew 19:4

As for surgeries to correct disabilities & birth defects, now you are being silly (or worse). Unfortunately, those things happen. Thankfully, modern medical science has solutions for some of that and I'm all for doing what we can to help people with them lead a normal life. Gender dysphoria is a mental illness that CANNOT be corrected through surgery. To compare the two kinds of medical treatments is an insult to truth, common sense, & everyone's intelligence. Those doctor's & hospitals promoting such quackery should be punished severely. They are exploiting confused & vulnerable people for easy bucks. It's a complete corruption of what the medical profession should be and should never be tolerated.
